From GeorgiaDogs.com: ATLANTA – Comcast / Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) announced today it will produce the University of Georgia’s first game of the 2008 season against Georgia Southern as a pay-per-view broadcast. Viewers in Georgia can order the August 30 game through their local, participating cable provider for $24.99 prior to the day of the event and $29.99 the day of the game.

Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET on August 30.

Participating cable providers in the state will be listed on the CSS website, csssports.com, at a later date.

CSS is a 24-hour regional sports network serving approximately 5.8 million cable subscribers across twelve southeastern states. Launched in 1999, the network is a partnership between Comcast Corporation and Charter Communications. CSS carries a full slate of college sports programming including over 45 live football games, 110 college football replay games, more than 160 men's and women's live college basketball games and 50 live baseball games, as well as a comprehensive mix of sports news and in-depth sports analysis geared toward fans in the Southeast. You have CSS to thank for Dish Network and Direct TV not being able to show the game. BRILLIANT MOVE UGA ATHLETICS!!!! Won't be able to watch the Central Michigan vs UGA game either, folks. The brilliance at CSS is going to PPV that game too. ESPN Gameplan blacks the game out in GA because CSS is offering it as a PPV, but guess what, Comcast is NOT available statewide!!!

THANKS FOR SHAFTING THE MAJORITY OF THE BULLDOG NATION, GREAT MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered it early on DirectTV
by Dawggirl on Sep 01, 2008

Ordered it 3 days before to make sure we had it for the entire family gathering. Was assured we'd get it, no problem.

Guess what?
